Returning to the Blog After Over a Year of Silence

Hi, it’s been a while.

It’s with a mix of excitement and trepidation that I say I am back writing on this blog after a year long hiatus.

Life has a way of presenting unexpected twists and turns, and my prolonged absence was no exception. Over time I missed the creativity of the writing process and the virtual space I had created for sharing ideas and insights. Now I am here to rekindle the flame of curiosity, inspiration, and connection that has always defined this blog.

Reflecting on the Silence

The past year has been one of introspection, growth, and change; but it has also been one of hurdles and step backs. As I navigated this journey the blog remained strangely dormant; especially considering the amount of change, development and growth that occurred during this time.  Whilst the silence was regrettable, it offered the space and valuable opportunity to recharge, reassess, and refocus our energies. It’s the ability to realise that the writing can only be done when you have processed challenges and failures and mourned the changes to those carefully thought out life plans and dreams. Simply stepping away from the pressure to write content that fits that old narrative can help us gain fresh perspectives and a renews sense of purpose.

A Renewed Commitment

The silence didn’t mean there was no desire or passion to write. There’s been numerous times where I’ve started writing a post or where I’ve brainstormed new ideas to bring to the blog as I’ve grown through the last year. The time away allowed me to reflect on what I loved about writing on Abigallgrows and what I didn’t. it allowed me to fall back in love with the brand I created when I was 18 years old and feeling alone in the world. It has been hours of brainstorming, researching, and drafting. There’s been creativity and designing and development. But importantly I made a commitment to myself and the people who come across my content. That commitment is to delivering quality content and being honest and unique, and i can’t wait to share all these newfound insights with you.

What to Expect

So, what can you look forward to in the coming months? A rich tapestry of thought-provoking articles, engaging stories, and practical advice … well I am working my way to writing content like this, and I hope you’ll join the journey. We’ll delve into a wide range of subjects, re-explore old concepts, and discuss new. I want to tell you aabout the lies we get sold about failure and the truths about minimalism and personal growth that the filters hide. I want our blog to be a space for learning, growth, and mutual inspiration.

Ultimately though, want I really want to develop as I regrow this blog is simple;

Community and Connection

I have mentioned many times that I started this blog as an 18-year-old at university feeling lost in a big world. I felt so alone even studying in London and being surrounded constantly by people.

One of the greatest joys of maintaining this blog has been the sense of community it has fostered. I have felt like there are like-minded people in the world, and that other people share similar thoughts and feeling. I’ve had the privilege of connecting with readers from around the world, each with their unique perspectives and experiences to share.

So, I want to encourage you to actively participate in discussions, leaving your thoughts, questions, and insights in the comment section. Let’s create a vibrant and supportive community where ideas can flourish, and friendships can be forged.As we embark on this new chapter together, I want to say thank you for your patience and understanding during my year-long absence. So, welcome back, let’s rekindle the fire of inspiration and embark on a journey of exploration and growth, one step at a time.
