The History: abigailgrows began in March 2016, where a naive 20 year old me wanted to inspire someone. The freedom of going to university had led to numerous self discoveries that I felt I should share with others, so they would know it was okay to be this way. It all began with a simple quote:
I am sure it is everyone’s experience, as it has been mine, that any discovery we make about ourselves or the meaning of life is never, like a scientific discovery, a coming upon something entirely new and unsuspected; it is rather, the coming to conscious recognition of something, which we really knew all the time but, because we were unwilling to formulate it correctly, we did not hitherto know we knew. – W.H Auden
As I grew older, I became more confident in voicing my opinions and views. I wanted to share amazing adventure, like medical school, and share my love of baking with the world. My obsession with quotes continued; I read more about how to teach, inspire and lead. I realised the blog could be more, I could do more.
Either write something worth reading, or do something worth writing. – Benjamin Franklin
The Now: I realised the power of a voice; speaking out, educating and inspiring through the platform I have been given; as a country with freedom of speech we a fortunate to have the opportunity to do this, so how could I not?
I am passionate: about looking after people in their time of need, global issues and providing joy through food (mainly cake!). These passions are what are I ultimately write about on this blog, it’s how I aim to inspire people and how I hope to contribute to global change.

Why some of my posts have amazon affiliate links.
Abigailgrows has recently started using affiliate links. The decision to use affiliate links was made in attempt to cover some of the costs that running the blog accumulates and allow people to support the site simply by using our link to purchase something they might be interested in after reading. It costs our readers no money and it is not a requirement.
I hope you will support me and my journey through blogging and everything that follows.
