Ingredients
- 300g porridge oats
- 125g butter
- 125g caster sugar
- 4 cups of golden syrup
Method
1. Heat Oven to 180C and grease a baking tin with butter. Use any shape you want, i mix up the tins from time to time to add a bit of difference. This time i used a 9inch round cake tin.
2. Heat the butter, sugar and syrup in a pan on a low heat, until all melted and combined. Add to outs and stir so that all the oats are sufficiently covered.
3. Add to tin and press down firmly. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until crispy and dark golden. Take out of oven and leave to cool.
4. Remove from tin and slice using a sharp knife. This particular time i was able to slice into 14 slices. On for lunch and one for an afternoon tea snack.
