Every year I tell myself that I am going to do more, be better and finally improve on those bad habits, I’ve known I’ve had for years but not acted on. Every year I write a bucket list or series or resolutions in an attempt to complete what I say I will… and like most people, every year but mid February I have given up on them.
This year rather than make myself empty promises I know I am going to give up eventually I decided to challenge myself. Challenge2019 is the plan I came up with as an alternative to bucket lists and resolutions. It’s designed to embrace new habits, break old ones and encourage myself to make every month worthwhile. I read somewhere that it can take 21 days to embrace a simple habit as the norm, and six weeks to embrace a complicated one. I realised that in 30 days I could embrace a simple habit or get a solid foundation on a more complicated one. Thats twelve new good habits in a year.
I wrote myself a list of habits and challenges I wanted to complete in the next twelve months, I am extremely excited to get on with the project and I am going to share them with you because I know that you are more likely to achieve things if you tell people about them. See the list, follow me as I venture to complete the list and write one of your own and tell me all about it. Spend your year by challenging 2019.
I want to hear all about your #challenge2019 lists! Tell me all about them and follow the adventure via the hashtag #challenge2019 on any social media or blog posts; or leave a comment below!
