Say Yes | Doing What I Have Always Wanted To Do.

I’ve taken on this theory of doing things you have never done because you’ve never had the courage to do so. I’ve followed amazing bloggers and YouTubers, who really have inspired me to jump at opportunities and develop myself.

One of the things i have always wanted to do is become fluent in British Sign Language (BSL). I am pretty competent in conversational basics as i have had many a chance to practise when i come across deaf lost children at work. I’ve always wanted to do more then ask them their name and if they are lost. So when i came across a women giving away a BSL introduction book for free i realised this was the world asking if i was going to say yes.

Always say ‘yes’ to the present moment… Surrender to what is. Say ‘yes’ to life – and see how life starts suddenly to start working for you rather than against you.  – Eckhart Toile

I picked the book up this afternoon, less then 24 hours later i have jumped at the chance to do something i’ve always wanted to do. I’ve achieved this simply by not being scared to say yes. I’ve been wrapped up in the book and have learn’t more about BSL and definitely developed my skills.

My future career in Medicine requires me to communicate with many different people. I want them to feel calm when someone can speak their language. My aim is to be proficient in BSL and French by the time i graduate so that i can achieve my goals.

This is a small act of saying yes to things i have always wanted to do but never had the courage to do is both liberating and motivating.
